In the village itself, there is of course much to see of historical importance, St Serfs Church with the Duplin Cross, Commonwealth graves, Iron age and Roman sites, also the site of the the accused Witch Maggie Wall burnt in 1637, (the last witch burnt in Scotland?) a challenging nine hole golf course, tea rooms, tennis courts, bowling green.
